What are the current tint laws in Iowa?
Iowa law allows non-reflective tint on the top portion of the windshield (above the AS-1 line or top 5 inches) allowing 70% of light to pass through. Front side windows must allow at least 50% of light to pass through, while rear side windows and the rear window may be any darkness on most passenger vehicles.
Does darker tint block more heat?
Not necessarily. The technology in the film matters more than the darkness. A lighter ceramic tint can often reject more heat than a much darker dyed film.
What’s the difference between Carbon and Ceramic tint?
Both carbon and ceramic window tint outperform traditional dyed films, but ceramic tint offers the highest level of performance. Carbon tint provides good heat rejection, blocks UV rays, and won't fade over time. Ceramic tint goes a step further by rejecting significantly more heat and infrared energy while maintaining excellent clarity and never interfering with GPS, cell phone, or radio signals. If maximum comfort and performance are your priorities, ceramic tint is the premium choice.
How long before I can roll my windows down?
We recommend waiting 3–5 days after installation before rolling your windows down to allow the adhesive to cure properly.
