FAQs

What’s the difference between Liquid PPF and Traditional PPF?

Traditional PPF is a thick film that is stretched over a vehicle’s panels to protect it against the elements - hence its name, Paint Protection Film. Traditional PPF is not a permanent solution. Over time, due to factors such as damage, peeling, cracking, or yellowing, it will need to be removed and replaced which can become a very expense process, not to mention the risk of removing paint in the process.

Liquid PPF is applied in liquid form by hand and hardens as a film on the surface and can be applied in multiple layers, giving flexibility in pricing and reapplication. There are no edges to worry about with Liquid PPF. There is no need to remove this very hard and durable layer. If there is damage over time, more can be added on top to fill in heavy scratches and indentations made by light rock chips.

Is Opti-Shield the same as a Ceramic Coating?

No. While it is a ceramic product in nature, Liquid PPF it is built for heavier scratch and debris resistance than ceramic coatings, being up to 15x thicker than most coatings. Since it is a thicker product is has a deeper finish that thinner, yet still durable, ceramic coatings like Opti-Coat Pro, Pro +, and Pro 3.

Can Opti-Shield prevent rock chips?

No product can guarantee protection against rock chips. Opti-Shield helps absorb and reduce damage from everyday road debris, but very large or high-speed impacts can still chip the paint.

Is Opti-Shield self-healing?

Yes. Minor swirl marks and light scratches can disappear when exposed to sunlight or gentle heat, helping your vehicle maintain its like-new appearance.
